(TargetLiberty.org) – Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden has done a rapid about-face on his recent calls for a national mask mandate — apparently because he’s just realized it would be unconstitutional. Now he’s agreeing with President Trump’s approach, although of course, he’s not admitting that.
Biden has been calling for a mask mandate since at least June. In an interview with a Pittsburgh CBS affiliate, he said he would use an executive order to force all Americans to wear masks in public, claiming “these masks make a gigantic difference.”
He returned to the idea in August, demanding that President Trump enforce the wearing of masks for three months. His running mate, Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA), also said last month that if she and Biden were elected, a mask mandate would be one of the first laws they passed.

However, by Sunday, Biden had changed his tune. Agreeing that governors should make decisions about mask mandates – the Trump administration’s policy – he admitted: “I don’t think constitutionally [the federal government] could, so I wouldn’t issue a mandate.”
