(TargetLiberty.org) – Oregon’s Liberal governor claimed victory Wednesday as she announced that the federal government had agreed to withdraw its law enforcement officers from the embattled city of Portland. Governor Kate Brown (D) and Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler (D) have both been strong critics of the federal presence in Portland, insisting that they’ve inflamed the situation and provoked the ongoing violence. In fact, federal officers were sent there because violence had already broken out and local politicians had let it run unchecked for weeks.
The state of Oregon is finally agreeing to cooperate with our federal forces–exactly what we asked for since the nightly violence broke out two months ago.
We're glad Oregon is now correcting their months long error.

Now Brown and Wheeler have been crowing on social media about their success in getting the feds removed – but the federal government is telling a different story.
DHS Acting Secretary Chad Wolf says the agreement he negotiated with Brown means federal forces will withdraw after city or state police take over the task of protecting Portland’s federal courthouse.
