(TargetLiberty.org) – The creation of the PAC Tell It Like It Is has widely been considered the latest indication that former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is considering launching his own presidential campaign for 2024.

Christie, 60, has so far been one of the most vocal critics of former President Donald Trump, who is widely believed to be the frontrunner in the 2024 presidential election.

As part of the preparations for launching a possible presidential campaign, the former governor has already selected a number of people to join his potential presidential campaign staff including Mike Duhaime and Maria Comella ,who are likely to manage his campaign according to the New York Times. Duhaime previously served as a political strategist during Christie’s 2016 campaign, and Comella was once the chief of staff of former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Brian Jones, a longtime staffer for GOP campaigns is going to be leading the PAC. In a statement to Fox News Digital, Jones stated that what the country needed was leaders who had the courage to say the things that need to be said even if those things are not what they want to hear. Jones previously served as a senior adviser for the 2008 and 2012 Republican presidential nominees John McCain and Mitt Romney.

If Christie joins the presidential race, he will be the latest addition to an already crowded GOP primary, with many other candidates including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis; former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley; Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, having already joined the race.
