(TargetLiberty.org) – Democrat attempts to smear President Trump as a racist are still failing, according to a new poll. The survey for the Los Angeles Times, released on October 29, showed that a record-breaking 31% of likely black voters plan to support the president at next week’s election. So far, the highest black vote share for any Republican presidential candidate was 12% for Bob Dole in 1996. If Trump’s support holds up next Tuesday he’ll easily top that by 14.6%.

The LA Times poll isn’t the only one to show the president scoring well among black voters. A Rasmussen poll on October 23 showed a sharp jump in support following last Thursday’s presidential debate, with 46% of blacks approving of him compared to a still impressive 37% the day before.
President Trump has prioritized helping black Americans through his first term; last month, he proposed spending half a trillion dollars to invest in black businesses and build communities. As he pointed out at the debate, in his eight years as vice president, Joe Biden did nothing. It looks like that message is getting through to voters.
