(TargetLiberty.org) – Biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy who joined the 2024 presidential primary a few months ago has now received the backing of 47 New Hampshire Republicans.

On Wednesday his campaign announced that Ramaswamy had received 47 endorsements from early primary states. Some of these endorsements included state lawmakers, such as former GOP Senate candidate Kevin Smith and Salem, N.H., GOP Chairman Steve Goddu.

In a statement, Ramaswamy reiterated that this was not just a political campaign, but rather it was a momentum that was gaining traction. He proceeded to express gratitude for the support that he had received from “conservative leaders and activists across New Hampshire.” Despite these endorsements, the GOP candidate has not managed to poll in the double digits in any of the primary polls.

Currently, the frontrunner in the Republican primary is considered to be former president Donald Trump who is leading all of the polls. His biggest challenger is widely seen as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who announced his presidential campaign on Wednesday.

Ramaswamy, on the other hand, is widely viewed as an underdog, but these endorsements in New Hampshire could indicate that he is indeed gaining traction.

DeSantis has also received a large number of endorsements recently with pro-DeSantis super PAC Never Back Down stating that he had received more than 50 endorsements from state legislators in New Hampshire. However, some of those endorsements were later disputed or further clarified.
